Hand Painted Furniture – Floor Screen and Entry Table
Monday, September 19th, 2011Colorado Style Home Furnishings offer many exquisite items that have been meticulously hand-painted by modern-day artisans using the exacting techniques that flourished in 17th and 18th century Europe. Each piece features slight variations in color and brushstrokes, a personal “signature” of the artist that enhances the value of the piece. Painting techniques include dry-brushing, color blending, and feathering. Another hand-painting specialty of Colorado Style is eglomise, a reverse glass painting process developed in 19th century France. Encased by glass, the delicate painting on the inside of the object has an intriguing, lustrous appearance that will delight you for years to come.
